No.

If you re-call, nearly every flashcard had a problem with FFCC:ROF except for the M3 DS Real. You can play GBA games on the M3R without any extra purchases too. And if that's not enough, some people have already mentioned... M3Sakura. It will kill everything then rape the remains.


Well. Lets see. FFCC:ROF worked on EDGE, CycloDS, SCDS1 SDHC (With auto-patch off), and DS-X. That doesn't look like NEARLY to me. The only one missing is R4/M3, Ezflash-V (I don't think I should even mention this card), and a few others. Also, you can only play GBA games if you have a GBA expansion/perfect. you DO need extra purchases, but it just comes with it if you buy the perfect bundle, Which will cost you about 10-15 more bucks. And M3 Sakura isn't just for M3, but for a few other flashkarts as well, or so I've heard.

M3 real is getting raped continously, and dunno when it'll stop.

Slowmotion isn't very useful, and the rumble pack is limited to a very few games that are compatible. The M3 real suffers some serious problems at the moment, and I won't recommend it, unless they fix the speed problems, and a few other problems. Also, the EDGE has the best shell quality, in the cheap flashkarts. The Acekard 2 and M3 real both have weak shells that feels like they can break under any sort of pressure (Not that it'll break that easily, but just feels that way).

No, I think you should. Sure, it's an old design and will probably never be as good at DL play as even the R4 is, but it works (for specific values of "works"), and is about the only thing out there with a side-load TF slot that's cheap and reasonably well supported. Remove the update tool from the TF after installing the latest version of the software (to eliminate the chance of accidentally bricking it with button-mashing) and you've got something that is IDEAL for really little kids. A friend took mine off my hands for *exactly* that purpose - her older kids have R4s (got them back when they were the logical choice, would probably get DSTTs with YSMenu or maybe AK2s or Edges now) but her youngest couldn't quite cope with "Don't press X, sweetie!". The side-load TF was an added bonus that probably makes it a little more suited to that *specific* use than the DSTT, even though the DSTT and EZ-V are pretty much the same price now. For my own use, I'd take a DSTT over an EZ-V any day - but for others, the EZ-V may still be more appropriate.

Okay, that got my attention, guess I'll have to consider it again. Damn... just when I'd stopped looking at the Edge as a possible purchase for friends, too. I guess I got blinded by their proprietary cheat format to everything else about that cart, and their relative newness (yeah, I know the DSTT is about the same age, but at least Neoflash are reselling those too whereas the Edge appeared from nowhere with apparantly nobody else backing or reselling them).

The cheats for the Edge can now be edited, thanks to a new version of Yasu's cheat editor. Rayder's excellent cheat database now has a version for the Edge.

The DSTT and Edge are both sturdy, but the DSTT is glued together while the Edge uses small screws.

It may be that the Acekard2 uses the same quality of plastic, but just seems less sturdy because it uses clips to hold it together (in which case gluing it together should make it just as sturdy as the others).

Neither the DSTT or TTDS are made by Neoflash. They just resold rebranded OEM units.

SC DS ONE is the way to go. You can run DSTT's firmware and YSMenu on it, along with the Supercard software which is the most feature filled out there with RTS, game guide, slow motion, etc.

i might pickup a DSTT to explore its features for myself and then give it to a friend of mine.
if you want the best quality Get the Cyclo DS evolution
that thing will last you until Nintendo's next handheld LITERALLY Cyclops made the Cyclo DS as a final solution to flashcard problems.

I have both an AK2 and a DSTT. The AK2 has by far the better user interface -- very fast and responsive when scrolling, sorts files, can use folders, etc. The AK2 also loads Opera and GBA games directly without having to use GBA ExpLoader. I've had a few problems with games crashing and with certain homebrew intermittently not loading on the AK2 though.

The DSTT is sturdier, is a touch faster loading, and I never experienced problems with games or homebrew (except one or two homebrew games that aren't compatible).

Despite its problems, I still prefer the AK2 because of its menu, but the DSTT is a great product and does what it does very well. I've actually had fewer problems loading games and homebrew with the DSTT than with the AK2, which after all is what they're made to do.

One thing to keep in mind if you're purchasing a DSTT: if you read this forum, some DSTT's have had contact problems -- if you buy one find out if your dealer can test it before shipping it.

Here are the experiences from my customers:

M3 real cons:
- spring microsd slot
- hard to take out of the ds lite
- menu is slow/crappy to use
- little kids dont understand all the menu options
- the little bars on the back arent there

DSTT cons:
- spring microsd slot
- dstt menu is crap, i put ysmenu on the cards now

thats about it, i dont sell the m3 real anymore
