I plan on working as a freelance translator in the coming weeks/months and I need a new laptop/notebook(?)/computer to install CAT tools on it and use to surf the web...

Could you suggest me some models I could buy?

I'm looking myself... let me know what you decide on ... My biggest factor is the keyboard... I will even buy an old Thinkpad if that is the only option...
I may have to look at smaller "niche" companies... I know Sager makes good laptops... gotta check...

I'd like it to have : relatively large screen to not bend too much to watch it and hurting your back, at leat 4GB ram, good battery life (if possible), good long lasting hard drive

I'd focus on battery life AND screen size. It's a pain when the screen's too small, but it can't be too big either for battery (and portability) issues.
