I can't believe this hasn't come up before but according to Google nobody's ever asked this question!
On my PC Retroarch appears the contents of directories by file extension first*, then by filename. So if I have a file with a lot of .zips and a couple of .smc files they would be displayed like this:
I've looked all through Retro Arch's menus and I can't seem to find an option to list files alphabetic order, ignoring extensions
*In writing this post I've just noticed that .zip are appearing before .smc... So it's either descending alphabetical order of extension followed by ascending alphabetical order of file names, which seems unlikely (but I wouldn't rule it out completely...!), or it's deciding to display archives first. Either way, I want to stop this behaviour... I can't be the only one on the planet?
