Hacking Linking a Nintendo Account

Hi,

I am running CFW on my switch and never linked a Nintendo Account with it.

Now I am playing ACNH and to get the May Day event you apparently need to have your switch linked with an Nintendo Account.

Is there a way of doing this safely?

I linked my accounts, now AC thinks my accounts are new users. I am not sure how to fix it yet.

I dont think you can unless you do a fresh reinstall of CFW. There may be a banrisk also

i just used kefirupdater on my cfws after backing up my saves with checkpoint then reimporting them
seems to work fine

You don't have to link your account for the event. Worked fine for me without linking.

Did you use the BCAT files? Or the event just triggered naturally?

I used the BCAT files. I only copied the directories folder (and all the contents within it). Not any of the files outside of it.
