Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hi everyone, i have a dms wii so i decided to install the key-clip on my wii.

i have few questions:

1) Is the way it works 100% equal to a wiikey? Does it support every wiikey firmware and app?
2) Wich wiikey firmware is best? I read 1.9g and 1.9s have speed issues (3x reading) while 19.b cant read SMG and so on. Could someone tell me more about this?
3) Does a modchip (this modchip) shorten laser lens lifetime? How does the read speed influence that? And the burning speed?
4) Anything else useful i should know?

lol, i should really look around before i post ><

from what ive read personally, once its flashed once, it acts just like a normal wiikey, and the best firmware is always the most up to date one, the 1.9s.
