im waiting until the main switch is dead before modding one that way i can cover my ass and only have the games i want on there so i dont need to buy the digital only titles

I went through this thread and I'm still confused. Currently on firmware 17 something, but want to upgrade to 18.0 to play certain titles. Reading it I still don't understand how to upgrade the firmware?. And what to do with upgrading atmosphere?, how do I know if I have hekate?
