Extract a save file from a real DS cartridge, onto a type of SD media, which will be playable and identical to the save on the real cartridge?

You can use a slot 2 homebrew called Rein to extract saves, and from there you can convert it for use with flashcards

i don't want to make a new post since this is kinda related. is it possible to transfer a game save to a real ds cartridge? like if i wanted to transfer a pokemon game save to a real ds cartridge? what would i need to do that?

thanks.

Rein can write saves to retail carts, IIRC, but there are certain types that it can't write... It's been a while since I messed w/ it so the details are vague.

Or you could use a device like the Datel GBA/DS Action Replay Duo.

I used eepininator to backup and restore my Pokemon save, and it worked just fine. However, if the save you are trying to put onto the cart is not the right size - ex, the Pokemon save needs to be 512KBs - You have to use a save converter. For the Pokemon save, just use the R4 save converter - Google it to find it - which always puts out 512KB saves. Then put the save on your slot-2 flashcart and use eepinator to load it on your game cart.

PM me for a better explanation if that confuzzles you
