Yes, it can be done on the console: which is a different question from "has it been practically done on the console" and certainly a different one from "can a non-programmer do it on the console today"

I swear, the things Nintendo puts us through. They should be grateful we even TRY to pirate their games.

I don't think they care what we think or not. They need to protect their assets, same as any other company. Piracy isn't suppose to be easy, it's suppose to be easy for the consumers, but that's what most companies have failed to understand except maybe Valve and especially GOG.
