Recently, I been seeing guides that use certain features like specific DNS to change what the switch is normally supposed to do when connecting to the internet. While I don't fully understand DNS, it seems like magic or system debug code content without much use of manually hacking the system. I was just curious if there has been discussion or ideas to redirect the cloud save function without hacking the system.

Cloud saves is nice, but it's only possible to have JUST ONE. Compare to before in previous consoles where you had memory cards, you can make way more back ups. Very useful for people who wanted to start the game over, but didn't want to lose their save data. Some games have only one save data at a time and won't even let you do back ups legitimately for "reasons"

I was just curious if this idea was discussed. It seems like people always find ways, DNS while I don't understand fully seems to be a common thing on "Cool tricks you can do with your switch." :ninja:

Well if @WerWolv fix the upload in Edizon, you could do a sort of "cloud backup" by just loading homebrews.

How about a donation link in said application or github?

Not sure where to put it inside edizon without just begging for money. Also I rather want to keep it clean :)
It was on github at some point though I think. Not sure why it's gone now

You cannot redirect cloud save backup to your own server, even with DNS filtering/redirecting. Sorry.

ok, maybe not with DNS, seems doable, with a need proxy server,
was looking into this myself,
hoping setup proxy server with https decode(Fiddler??), let switch "upload" a backup though proxy, capture and decode "save data"
not saying its easy just its doable. Now getting a save back to the switch all bets are off. i'm sure the data is at least encode and most likely encrypted.

Not with a proxy, not with a DNS, not with anything other than custom firmware for so, so many reasons.
