Hacking Is it fake?

So i ordered my GF a DSTT i cant remember if i got it from focalprice or dealextreme either way i wanna know if its a fake or not.

Ive run the DSTT Flash Checker and got the following result:

DSTT Flash Checker 0.01

unknown device : 0201ED01

So im a bit confused, says its unknown but also says its good...

So i started looking at hardware comparisons like in this video:

But the thing is, my card *which looks like the one he says is newer with the left sided MSD Slot* doesnt even have that much metal, ill make a quick paint picture of what i mean since i dont have a camera on hand.

So yeah what do you guys think? Im suspicious of it being fake.

I have a quick question also,
Even if it is fake, i can run the Offical firmware, kill it, then fix it with the DSTT Flash Writer right?
*not that i need to it would just be a 100% test thing...*

the new dstti's dont come with that much metal, also did you update your flashcard to 1.4? if not try it and then run the test again

Its a DSTT not a DSTTi so no i havent nor can i do that xD

Er if I'm correct on how that looks then that would be because the newer dstts have a non spring loaded slot. Should be real but I could be wrong.

well according to the pics..

they both original.. the first one is the Spring Loaded slot while your's have not.

Just use the latest unofficial firmware with the disabled fake-killer. It has better compatibility anyway.

well i am, but uno, still rather know if what i bought my GF is real or not. xD
but yeah i looked at the DSTT site, which was down last i saw, and alls it shows is real spring loaded ones so i dont know how your positive there real. But oh well guess it doesnt matter, so long as it works eh.
