This is the best thing since sliced presliced cheese!

Uhmmm... YEA

BUt seriously wtf, its the same like Duracell colorcoded their batteries, I mean if you can see the diffrence between an AA and a D you shouldnt mess around with electronics

Let me get this straight....the only feature of these batteries is that you don't have to worry about which way round they go any more?

How much of a fucking 'tard do you have to be unable to work a battery? There's only two ways they can go. The right way and the wrong way. So even if you fuck it up, it's not exactly rocket science to figure out how to fix it. This really does destroy my faith in humanity. If we've become so fucking stupid that we can no longer work batteries properly, then it's time to trim the herd. We need a war. And not one of these pussy gulf wars against a country that admits defeat after a fortnight. I'm talking a world war. Get rid of the tidal wave of pointless scum that infest this world and drag the average IQ down into the murky depths of negative numbers.

*goes on killing spree*

Or carry on bashing Microsoft cos it's the cool thing to do.

Your right I didn't even read the article. I just felt like bashing M$ because they shit me.

Your also right instaload is just a new contact design inside the actual device and has nothing to do with the batteries themselves.

Now I have to pay extra for saving 1 second of my time and I thought time was money
You don't have to pay anything.
Manufacturers choose whether they want this tech in their device or not.

The manufacturers will have to pay royalties for each unit sold.. So in fact we will be paying more for this feature.
