is your v1 switch still alive and kicking after consistently overclocked? without any form of repair or thermal replacement?

Running fine here

It’s an OLED so it has not been overclocked a long ago, but I have bug free and consistent results with CPU 1.785GHz, GPU 921MHz and RAM 1.9968GHz

Thermal pads on top of RAM and heat pipe, Grizzly Kryonaut on the processor and heatsink, removed the copper adhesive between processor and heatsink, and a copper shim between heatsink and RF shield.

My Erista is still going strong, usually only use sdev oc on the cpu which I think was 1220Mhz and stopped using any gpu oc after realising it does very little to fix lag issues I have as most games scale with higher gpu clocks.

I've been running a memory OC at 2.1Ghz with Samsung chips and stock gpu and mostly stock cpu. I used to run it at 1.24v stable but recently lowered it to 1.23v and it still seems to be stable (from stock 1.2v up to 1.22v would crash).

I typically play docked mode. Temps are around 55c with docked and it rarely goes above 60c, sometimes I get 63c on intense games but only on heavy scenes.

I guess battery life probably isn't as good with the ram OC, but I haven't noticed since I don't play handheld for too long and if I do it's usually late at night so minimum brightness and wifi/nfc disabled. I can play for a couple hours and still have around 60% battery left from full depending on the game (with stock joycons if that matters).

What thickness did you use for the thermal pads and shim?

About 3 years, I use overclock on some games, heavy sessions, for example on 2K18 I use maximum overclock and to this day, no changes on the console, no noticeable problems at least. It has never turned off in all this time. Battery life seems normal as far as I can tell. So far so good.
