this is for XP. i can't get it to work on Vista

set up a home or small office network on both computers allowing the option to share files. then using the pc with the file, find the other pc's Sharing Docs folder under My Network Places. drag and drop file and wait till the transfer is finish

You mean across the internet? or LAN?

Besides mailing/giving a DVD with the data I can think of two decent ways:

BitTorrent
Actually making a torrent and uploading it, with you as the main seed.
Why? Because its download resume functions would be perfect for large files

Run your own HTTP server, with built in resume support

Best option: RAR it into multiple files & email the files as attachements. Try to attach as many RARs as you can to each mail.

Edit: this will take a while.

Both get into a Hamachi network and turn file sharing on, and share the file/folder u want to share, and the other pc will be able to see it under network connections.

FTP is the way to go

If you are close proximity and just can't network, find the biggest flash drive you have, use winrar to split the file into segments just under the size of the flash drive (900 Meg files for example) and make a few trips. Much faster then the other options, save for burning a DVD.
