How do I install mods on hardware itself?

Name pretty much explains it, I want to install mods on the 3DS itself without Citra. For more details about the mods I specifically want to install it’s Kirby X100 Deluxe and Tomodachi Enterprise. The model is a New 3DS XL. And if there are different ways to do it, I would really rather for it to be possible with FTPD.

I would really rather for it to be possible with FTPD.

You can install them as patches that apply on the fly when you boot the game using Luma's implementation of LayeredFS.
This way would work with FTPD just fine.
