Hacking Homebrew Suggestion

I would like to offer a suggestion for a new homebrew app.

A Wii Remote finder. I always seem to be missing all but one at any given time. It would be nice if I could go to the HBC and start the find wiimote app and all of the wiimotes that aren't in use, could turn on and start beeping through the little speaker. Then everytime I find one, if I hit the A + B buttons together it stops beeping. Then when all are found, I can hit "found them" on the app and it takes me back to the HBC.

Is this even possible since all the wii remotes would be off? Can the wii send a signal to the wii remote telling it to turn on and start beeping?

I would say that the bluetooth module in the Wiimotes probably is switched of when they're in standby mode. I can't really think of any time during normal usage that the Wii wakes up the 'motes and not the opposite.

its impossible to do that, when the wiimote have basicly shut-down, they need to be pressed.

it sounds a good idea but impossible.
