Sounds like a solution to me, I think it's a good idea , perhaps I can ask a friend of mine to do it. Don't know if he has experience with it though ... mmmh maybe I shall show that instruction manual to do it to him and maybe he can fix it that way. Otherwise I might consider sending it to him or you.

Or are there perhaps talk about people planning to make a software to counter the 10.6 v ? Just asking.

I would not bet on it. Don't expect it to happen anytime soon. I wouldnt even be sure if it happens this year. Ok I admit, we have a nonpatchable userlandexploit (cubicninja/oot), but a kernel exploit is a different beast. They are valuable and not as easy to obtain as a savehack-exploit. To downgrade you need a kernelexploit.

And the current downgrade method with the hardmod will be patched as soon as nintendo updates twl_firm. The reason the downgrade works is because twl_firm is still 10.2 (or 10.1? I dont remember). Then there willl be no chance to downgrade it without a nandbackup.

Yeah, it took me forever to be able to use a CFW because I was always one firmware above xD

Try to contact an experienced hardmodder. I'm pretty sure it'll be cheaper than buying a new 3DS

every current firmware can be downgraded, <10.3 trough memchunkhax >10.3 trough hardmod
