I've been searching for an answer all over. Didn't want to start a new thread, but here it goes:

I have two 3DS systems.

(1) N3DS 10.1 with MenuHax/HBL installed.

(1) O3DS 9.9. No hax.

I'm trying to hack my old 3DS. Browerhax is a no-go because of the update nag.
I DO have a copy of Ocarina of Time 3D. No Power save though.

Would it be possible to run the OoT3Dhax on my O3DS by somehow using my hacked N3DS instead of a Power save? If so, how would I need to go about it?

Thanks for the help :)

This can absolutely be done. Put OoT into the hacked 3DS and launch the oothax installer from the homebrew menu. When it asks you what firmware you want the payload to be for, set it to O3DS 9.9.0-26 then proceed with the install.

Now you can take the cart out, put it in your O3DS, and use it to boot the homebrew launcher from there.

Thanks for the straight forward reply!
Does this process corrupt or change my OoT3D save?

Yes, it will clobber your existing save completely. Use JK's Save Manager or SVDT to back it up ahead of time if you care to keep it around.

Okay. Thanks for the help. I'll try this when I get my N3DS back from my bro. Its his copy of OoT3D. Wouldn't want to ruin his game.

Doesn't he have his own 3DS to play his game?

Be sure to downgrade after! :P;)

Haha, yeah, I guess so. I worded it wrong.:P

Its his N3DS that I hacked for him. I don't want to delete or corrupt his precious OoT3D save though.
I have the Old 3DS that I'm trying to hack and eventually downgrade down to 9.2 so I could play any CIA. :yay3ds:

Yo, quick question.

When running OoT3Dhax Installer through the Homebrew Launcher, it asks me what firmware I'm on.

Would I need to input the already-hacked N3DS firmware? Or the O3DS firmware that I am trying to hack into?

Put the firmware of your O3DS in - the one you intend to use OoTHax for ^^
