Hacking HDD for USB LoaderGX and Nintendont

I currently only use two backup loaders on my Wii.
I am thinking of buying an external HDD for everything I need.
I am choosing between two HDD's.
Would any of these be compatible?

1. Seagate Central 2TB Ethernet 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive
2. WD Elements 2TB Portable External Hard Drive Storage USB 3.0

I have checked the compatiblity list and cannot seem to find anything.

Any help would be appreciated.
