Any chance a version of this could be made to simply automatically boot a 3DS title?

Preferably so it'd be capable of having multiple of the same homebrew to boot installed 3DS titles, so we could boot through HBL instead of home menu.

There is an SDlauncher somewhere that does that exactly.
