I know the bans to pirated SM players was permanent, and they'd get the 2812 error code that also banned their NNIDs. My case, just the 0102, I can get on eshop just fine. They said temporary, I brought up the 15 day thing, but this person couldn't confirm it, thus I have no idea if that applies to me. Half of the conversation was spent waiting, being put on hold a bunch of times. Towards the end I got mad and that reflected my words towards the lady. I was more pissed about the pirated speculation, I even knocked on the steelbook and had her listen, some sort of proof that I bought the steelbook edition, which came with both Sun and Moon. Since learning about headers and the Gateway theory being the most probable one, I'm calmer and rather disappointed in myself for making the mistake. At the same time, probably happy because it forces me not to take requests, and actually sleep like a normal person. If Sun/Moon ran fine on O3DS, then I'd be still taking requests and the bans wouldn't be bothersome, but the problem is those games are almost exclusive to N3DS. Even without the hacking tools, just going by the fact the title screen loads much quicker on N3DS than on O3DS, the graphics are a little, razory on the O3DS, if that makes sense, a bit blurry on the top screen too. In contrast an N3DS with the same screens, dual TNs, renders the graphics much better. Anyways, yeah, nothing to do but just wait. It'd be nice though if they lift the ban early, but with a vacation from requests essentially, might as well make the most out of it.
the US/EUR version, but the link is dead.
