Guide for Ocarina of time 3D modding?

Is there a guide for modding OOT3D? video or written? im looking to learn how to make mods for it
on real hardware, i can't seem to find anything not even a discord server for it
Hey, I don't know anything about modding. But I am getting into hacking my 3DS and am curious about what kinds of projects there are for making new game modes for OOT3D.

I am writing because I am curious what you have found regarding this? Have you found any tools or advice?

you are asking in the wrong place, i've found pretty much nothing. granted, soon after i made this thread i got a dm from someone asking if there was anything i needed to know but at the time i was at the beach, when i got back home and responded they never answered back, it's been a year now and i've pretty much lost motivation to find any guides, tools, etc.

alot of people who did know about this kind of thing don't seem to be very active anymore, games like XY, ORAS, OOT3D, KH3D
probably have like one or two posts on here in regards to new discoveries or within the games data and what not and that's pretty much the extent of it, from what i see now people are really only focused on ports, cheats, pretendo network and the occasional update about a 3DS emulator.

but enough of my ramblings, sorry i cannot be much of assistance but i wish you luck in your endeavors.

I expect it is probably substantially easier to make changes to one of the OoT source ports derived from the N64 version.
Ship of harkanian? yeah, pretty much. you could also apply the same for texture mods for citra as those tend to be the norm for any 3DS game, however my issue lies with the lack of information to mod almost any 3DS game out there as while of course different games have different methods, especially if you want to make it for real hardware becuase 9/10 it is possible unless your asking for something that requires scripting which isn't possible yet with 3DS games as far as i am aware.

i see games like KH3D getting mods here and there and im lowkey wondering how people do it, like i remember there was actually a thread here of a guy sharing a proof of concept of how editing voice battle clips in KH 3D was possible but never said how iirc, as i know for sure they aren't in the romfs's BCSTM audio files, only music and cutscene voice clips are

the only thing i could find how to edit them was a really old video that i recall requring an abundance of hex editing,
that's one of the many examples of rabbit holes you'll find yourself in when trying to mod 3ds games, if there isn't
a dedicated community like MK7, you sorta just have to know someone who knows how to do this kinda thing.
