Hardware GTX560 or full HD display?

I'm researching my next laptop and I'm interested in Medion. There's a lot of configurations but one of them has a GTX560 graphics card but only has a 1366 x 768 HD display. The other has a GT555 graphics card but the display is full matt HD 1920x1080 resolution. I'm leaning towards sacrificing the resolution for the GTX560 card but is there any argument for a laptop with full HD resolution?

There's a marked difference in performance between the GTX 560M and GT 555M. Likewise, there's also a noticeable difference in quality for higher resolution screens. However, since this is a laptop, the screen won't be that big either way. I would go for performance over resolution, since if I ever needed a bigger screen... well, I have two right in front of me and both accept multiple inputs.

That's how I see it. It's up to you which suits you better - the laptop with better performance or the laptop with a bigger resolution. Either way, they're both HD.

If you play a lot of games, go for the GTX560M, not only will you get better performance from the GPU at the same resolution as the 555M, the lower screen resolution makes it even easier to run games at the laptops native resolution. However if you don't plan on gaming too much, go for the 1080 display, it is much easier to write papers (have multiple windows open) and watch movies at full res.

Most movies are actually less than 720p. Not many blu ray movies are in 1080p. Ergo, you're mistaken about "full res".

Below the size of 42", the difference in quality between a 1080 panel and a 720 panel is hardly discernible.

That, and taking into account that most content on the web and elsewhere are available in 720p, having a Full HD panel isn't very useful at current.

Gaming wise, a more powerful graphic card is needed to run games smoothly in 1080 resolution. I doubt I'll need to explain this.

I would definitely trade off a 1080 panel for a better graphic card. Besides, anything above 720p is considered HD. Unless you're a visualphile, you'd hardly tell the difference/ give a damn.
