I've been getting tired of hearing Sonic 3's Ice Cap theme recently (WHAAAATTTT!?), but on YouTube I heard a version that perked my ears up. It wasn't a remix, just a game rip with the audio having slightly different properties. So, I looked up the 16-bit Audiophile Project rip, and it's better than the clean rip I have. It just has the main melody more in focus, I guess. I used AudioOverload on a VGM rip to separate the channels, and I found the magic to Ice Cap's music: VGM YM2612 FM Channel 2. (That's actually the magic to quite a few more tracks, like Flying Battery 1.)
Is there an emulator, VGM/VGZ player, or console audio circuit mod that'll let me boost one sound channel's volume relative to the others? I vaguely remember the Crystal Clear Audio Mod being configurable, but to what extent I don't have a clue. Specifically, I want the VGM YM2612 FM Channel 2 to be louder.
