Not sure what topic this would fit into so just making a new thread,

With all the delays gateway is having, is it possible that they have hit a brick "no pun intended" wall in terms of updating the gateway card via the 3ds port, I remember seeing comments that it wouldn't be possible even if the pins where connected to the header.

The fact they have shown they have the firmware pretty much made, yet they have still be delayed for so long makes me think this is where the issue lies, assuming they could have updated the gateway card used in the video via a programmer, I would really just like to know if this might be what has them stumped,

Meaning they probably "could" release the firmware, but it would either need an external way of programming, or would need a new version that comes pre-programmed.

I know this is all speculation, but given their last updates they where always pretty quick with releasing bug fixes and new features etc and the demo videos seem to be very well refined.

What I'm curious about is: Has Team GW already sent their new Firmware to Beta Testers.

If so, I would suggest to share this information by sending a PM to someone else in this forum. Something like:
Final firmware is tested by someone here.
Send this PM to someone else and reduce this number by 1:
4

When this number reaches 0, the one that got that PM should create a topic with the information that there are some Beta testers in this forum.

This way, no one would find out who is testing this firmware.
Of coure you would need to choose a random number, not 4.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain^^

If that's the case, why insisting on saying " the firmware will be released soon " or " it'll be worth the waiting "?
If you're right on this, then Gateway would just prove to the world once and for all that they are liars.
But as I don't have any theories or proof that they're not releasing 2.0 due to card incompatibility I'll just have to wait and see.
Either way, I really hope that you're wrong on this. Otherwise, that would be the end of team Gateway and they would probably release another card under a different name.

Or they're spending months improving the brick code :P

That sounds the most likely to me.

It has already been well established that the brick code is real and intentional. But it had the unfortunately side effect of bricking legit GW cards.

Now since they have nand-saves working (which is the next "big" thing), I presume they are doing their best to protect their work.

End result, delays and more delays for us.
