Hacking FTP transfers just stop after a while?

I've got just tons and tons of games to transfer over FTP but after a while the transfers just stop inexplicably. No auto-off settings are on, I checked. On a PS3 slim if that matters, the connection is wired.

It's just incredibly annoying to have to babysit the file transfers all day. If anyone has a solution to this or at least knows why it's happening it'd be much appreciated.

I had same thing, change the timeout values and retry attempts.

ftp is just really unreliable when transferring a lot of files, the old ps3jailbreak folder format games caused a lot of problems.

It's why I switched to ps3netsrv and don't store games on the ps3 at all (apart from the occasional ps2 iso as it can't load them from the network, but I generally use OPL on a real ps2 and stream the ISO from a NAS).

If you are doing ftp from a pc are you sure the timout isn't because of the pc?

It's been many years since I put myself through the hassle of ftp'ing lots of files to the ps3, but I'm pretty sure it's the ftp server on the ps3 that causes the problems. I tried a couple with varying amounts of success, but there was always some problems.

Seemingly solved this by switching FTP clients from FileZilla to WinSCP. Just transferred like 400gb worth of stuff with no issues and it was even faster than filezilla on average.

Maybe I just got lucky but I'll update you guys later if I run into issues again.

I always have that problem back then and even using ftp on the vita with FileZilla.

Sorry if i hijack the post, but i try to run ps3netsrv on a synology 1815+ from the package manager with no success. There is a way to install it through docker but don't know how to do it. Which model of nas do you have?

Did you install ps3netsrv as a package/app or through docker?
