Where can I find the latest f-card firmware and advanced wars doesn't work so can anyone tell me if it works for them and if I can fix it.

The F-Card uses the N-Card firmware, so the latest firmware and X-Menu should be located here at GBATemp, in th downloads section.
As for Advance Wars, the only problem you should be having is if Days of Ruin isn't starting right; all you need to do is set the save type to Flash 2M, AUTO doesn't work.
