Just saw this, and think it might be a good buy for Eee owners.

Analogue is a slidey-nub style in similiar vein to the PSP's, but users have reported that its easy to get used to.

Cloudbook is an regular platter based HD, not flash based. Think of a Zune HDD. Actually, same size as Zune30 hard drive wise...

My question is can I put this:

in an EEEPC without much modification?
My thought is once the larger screen comes out, I'm in. I'll do the touchscreen mod, Throw in a bigger HD and the whole thing will still be under 700.

remember that all flash memory has a limited amount of writes before they start to "die", slowly loosing capacity and 16GB SDHC cards are like $75. With the current support of mini pci slots (see: n/a), you would probably need to do some hard stuff to add a bigger HD

If you're talking about just screen resolution and not physical screen size, theres a third-party driver that lets you set it past the default limit of 800x600.

Off-topic: urza, what's the title for the game in 2nd picture?

On-topic: well, got my Galaxy Black last week. In my opinion, it's good enough for people who wants almost the full capability of a normal laptop, have a dire need for portability, and also short in cash. That is my justification of buying it, and i'm still satisfied with it.

Edit: Off-topic again. Thanks MaHe for the suggestion about the Eee PC. Didn't know about it before.

Just to jumpstart the thread, here is a video of my Asus EEEPC running Starcraft and Warcraft III, including booting and shutdown so you can get a glimpse of the load time.

Impressive.

How does the EEE handle FPS games? What is the most recent FPS that the EEE can run (with enough frames per second to be playable)? It seems the EEE can handle more than the hardware specs would have us believe.

The low resolution allows the Eee to get a considerable amount of "kick" out of the integrated GPU.
