Homebrew DualShock 4 HID to VPAD Error (Also, a small question)

Title. Everytime I try to connect it, it just slowly blinks orange and doesn't do anything after. One more thing, does HID to VPAD require the gamepad to be connected prior to replacing its input? Or the console just recognizes it as new gamepad?


I've already tried resetting, changing ports, changing cables...... I'm beat and have no idea what to do at this point, I wanna play Splatoon but my gamepad's getting fixed and it'll take a while....... Any Help?

do you have the new dualshock 4 controller that came with the ps4 slim or pro? It's the one that has the lightbar fed through the touch pad. that new model doesnt work at all with hidtovpad, nintendont, or anything else on the wii or wii u.

I've read that and...... No, I bought my ps4 in 2014 and have not changed the controller.
