Hacking dsi shuts off

is it just me ?
im used to closing my dsl quickly and puting them in my pocket before the teacher comes but
i recently got a dsi and i close my dsi it shuts off. super bummed
is my on/off switch faulty?

It could be many reason. I know that sometimes the DS will shutoff when dropped maybe you close it to hard?

Try it softer next time...

I have this problem too.
I tried to do this with a ds lite and dsi, and only the dsi shuts down.

I would contact Nintendo and tell them what the problem is. You'll most likely be provided a free repair or replacement. Just make sure to remove your Screen Protectors and anything else that isn't made by Nintendo since they're really anal about that. That include stylus'...wouldn't be surprised if they voided your warranty because of a stylus that wasn't made by them...

I noticed that the DSi shuts off when it's closed when the battery is on red.

If you close it too hard, it shuts off because the battery loses contact for a split second iirc.
