Hi, if you have seen "ARM11 Kernel Vulnerability under 10.0.0-X" and you had upgraded recently to 10.x-x sure you are angry. But i was thinking and I JUST WONDERING if it is possible to make a "safe upgrade" with an unofficial nintendo server and "downgrade" to 9.9 or other versions.

I am a noob just want to know if this is possible.

This " kernel vulnerability " was patched with update 10.0.0-X.

Most cpu code has changer withs his update, if a exploit was released, not for 10.0.0-x i think.

Technically you are right, if we get arm11 kernel we can downgrade, but it won't be with the one recently found as that has been shown to be useless.

Some day, useful things like backup loading will be possible.

No idea why smea endorses fan translations which are a guaranteed revenue cut but not backup loading. -_-

Isn't backup loading able to cause a bigger revenue cut than fan translations?
For fan translations with R5, you actually need to own the game (unless you have exploitable firmware but in that case you already can use "backup loaders" anyway). So companies don't really lose money. At most, we could just say that ppl might import more and then we get to see less games being officially translated because of it.
