Hardware Downgrade 11.1.0J help

Hi everyone,

So I have a Japanese N3DS XL on firmware 11.1.0-34 that I want to downgrade. I was able to hardmod it and I downgraded NATIVE_FIRM to 10.4
My only issue is that I overlooked the fact that N3DS consoles are region locked. Browserhax has been patched and every eshop game that is exploitable has been removed.

Can I use a Japanese copy of Ocarina of time an run sploit_installer (I have a O3DS XL that I can use)? I've read somewhere that Cubic Ninja is region free (Which is doubt is true). How can I downgrade this unit?

You can use a physical copy of Japanese OOT to downgrade on 11.1.

If you ask "can I use non-JP 3DS region to install OOT3Dhax to JPN Cart", the answer is yes, you can.
As long as non-JP 3DS run on CFW with region unlock option.
