Do u mean the wireless 3ds to pc thing from the settings? I'm pretty sure that was only n3ds because of the nasty SD card location. Idk bout cfw though

There is a patched version around the internet (can't link here) that work on non-New models. I have it on my o3ds and it work perfectly, so it should work also on your 2ds

If you're on <=9.2 and install it as a CIA or something, then yes. But supposedly it's REALLY slow.
TL;DR: yes.

It's certainly a little faster than FTP though. The fastest I've seen it go was 500-600KBps, but I agree, its kinda not worth setting up.

I'd just stick to ejecting the SD card.

you are quicker with just removing the sd connect it to pc, do your thing, remove it from pc and place it back into your 2ds.

I was planning on ejecting it anyways. I was just wondering.

it should work and quite useful to transfer small files (ncchinfo.bin to generate xorpads, screenshots from ntr to be uploaded), for bigger file, just remove your sdcard.
