You're absolutely right, I misunderstood what you were saying there, anyway, I have to get back to it, but as I said, I'll organize something for tonight, are you interested in helping out?

I did not realize how much CB relied on the SPIDER(old 3ds) exploit. It still has some hope at least for the old 3ds as being a GW free method, n3ds... we'll see...
So it seems while CB still has potential, we first need a SKATER exploit in order to take control(n3ds).

I really want to take MHU4 online, should I update to 9.5(n3ds)? Or would i likely be killing any chance of exploit?

If history is any indication, you should not touch your firmware at all. Try to wait and see what comes out for n3ds first.

But see the issue with youtube is that you can't download it on the n3ds unless you update to 9.5, which then means you loose access to the main exploits that gateway use, also with youtube being a standalone program rather than a applet like the web browser you probably couldn't even do anything like ram modifications like with spider tools, so all in all a bit of a dead end except for jpn/as users who got youtube downloaded before 9.3 was released

Suppose it *might* be usable to enable region free for people who habe the youtube app installed , but idk I would wait to see wha actual devs have to say

Yeah, that's the point, you need to update to 9.5 to download youtube, which means you loose access to a few exploits that are essential to running custom code, which is why ninjhax and gateway don't work on 9.3+, and the fact it's not running as an applet ruins a lot of the potential spidertools had as you can't run a game + youtube at the same time to access in game ram, best you could really hope for would be a region free app, and I'm not sure even that would be doable
