Do I need to keep track of what screw goes where or are all of the internal screws in a Wii all basically the same size?

There's 4 or 5 different types of screw. It's not hard to keep track of them all.

I know we left 4 screws out of our Wii when we putting back together because my brother was impatient and didn't care how many screws were in there, as long as it stuck together fine lol.

Yeah, somehow I ended up with an extra screw, and even though I've been inside my Wii multiple times since then (Clipping the chip for Brawl at the time) I still to this day cannot figure out where the last screw went.

So I guess I wont have any trouble at all installing a new Wii case then right? Should be pretty simple I guess.

I guess the easiest method would be to take photos along the way so that I would know where everything went.

I put the black knight case on my Wii, and it will actually take you longer than you think. I have a launch day Wii, and a few small adjustments had to be made to the replacement case - it wasn't quite perfect. There are a surprising amount of screws and a lot to take out to swap the case!

But wasnt the Talismoon red DVD gate light's cord too long? Like 6 inches long is what everyone is saying.

Im getting the XCM II-Crystal Blue case.

How are the II-Case's LEDs connected to the motherboard?

EDIT: Nevermind, it just goes connects where the fan used to connect to.

Is it better to juse use the OEM Nintendo fan?

Yes, the DVD gate cord is VERY long - but it can be tucked away with a little perserverance.

I've never added an aftermarket fan to the Wii - I've never seen any need!

Well I only like the LED lights on the fan and how no soldering is required!

There is no soldering required for the DVD gate either!

It just pops out.
