Hardware Computer restart problems

A friend of mine has an issue with his computer. See what possible causes are there for it.

First it restarts suddenly.

Changed hdd,ram still nothing.
Fan works fine.

Today i tried installin a new window using new hdd, twice it happend tht it finished installing until the last procedure tht is 'complete instalation' and ther it gets restart.

What do u thnk is the problem, processor?

THEN

One more thing, wen its in safe mode, the laptop doesnt restart.

What brand is this laptop you're talking about?

Can you run Bluescreenview (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html) for me in Safe Mode? It should load up some Minidumps (if any), asking this to clarify some things..
