ROM Hack Changing Heart Golds Game ID

Well, I need to change the ID so I can use Action Replay codes with a HG ROM with a english patch. The patch DOES somehow change the game ID... The new ID is IPKJ A587D7CD if it helps.

you can't change the id,if you need ar codes so much make your own,better yet,don't use the patch(whichever it is)

The GameID is 'generated' when the game is packed into the NDS file.
If you're using a patch that changes something significant, like a translation, it will change the GameID.
In theory, you can just change the GameID in your cheats file to work with the new game... however, some or all of the memory addresses probably won't match anymore and codes can have slightly changed to completely different effects and sometimes worse.

I mean, if you're using R4 or something. That cheats.dat is for the (J) unpatched. Since you patched your game, the game ID changed. So, use r4cce to change the game id of heart gold to the patched one.
