I wasn't sure where to put this or if there is already a topic for it, anyways here's whats up.

I'm looking for a 3DS and found one that is with system version 4.1.0-6E so should work fine with the Gateway chip, right?

Only problem is, it is already hooked up with a NDS card, DSTW. Is it possible to just change between them or can I "reboot" the 3DS and and install the gateway chip?

Whenever you use the DSTWO, you'll have to exit out of Gateway Mode beforehand and reinstall the Gateway exploit afterwards. You can use your DSTWO to install the exploit as it's just a .nds file and nothing that specifically has to be run via the Blue Card.

EDIT: Also, make sure to check the stickied threads at the top of this sub-forum first to make sure that your questions haven't already been answered.

Research is the bane of ignorance. Wield it well and the answers you seek shall appear before you.

they are not chips, they are cards. you dont need to do anything... there is no really anything "installed"

the only issue you will have (correct me if i am wrong) is when you use dstwo the gateway exploit will be reseted and you will need to launch it again... (but i do think you can do it on the DSTWO card, you dont need to use the DS mode gateway card...)

So there is no problem in installing Gateway exploit after using the DSTWO (I won't really be using the DSTWO, but the console comes with it already)?

Just double checking before buying this.

DSTWO doens't install anything, it runs like a game.... there is not anything installed...

but for gateway 3DS MODE CARD to work, its need to install an exploit (you will run that "hack" a lot of times)

when you use DSTWO dstwo will reset that "hack" so when you exit from dstwo and want to go to gateway 3ds mode, you need to run again the file...

either way. gateway does come with a DS MODE card, you can play DS games using that other gateway card. so you have basically 2 cards which do the same thing...
