Hacking Brightness plugin for NTR-CFW?

So is there anyway the 3DS's brightness could be forced to max out at the cost of battery drain like the PSP's brightness control plugin or is it not possible? The reason I ask is for some reason my New 3DS's screen seems a bit dim (even though crushed blacks are nice and sharp) especially the touch pad and oddly enough turning on power save mode makes the screen appear to be brighter with a cooler look too it.

BTW im fairly certain I have the better IPS panel in my 3DS.
