Hacking Best solution for backups and emulators?

Hi guys and girls!
I been following the forums for a long time.
So i decided that today, i wanted to try out some the cool stuff that's been released.
I got many games on disc, but playing games from a hdd is better from my opinion.
I want to run backups, on my Wii U+emulators that are released.

I got:
1: A Wii U 5.5.1 pal/europan version.
2: Blocked servers setup in the router, and going to setup Wii U-dns
3: Got a 64GB sd-card that works with wii u, i tested.
4: Got 1.5 TB portable hdd with y-cabel for extra power.
5: Something i forgot that i need?

Now i want to know, whats the best solution for backups and online play (no cheating).

Installing HaxchiFW & The Homebrew Launcher Channel - Can i play online/emulators?
Installing redNAND with Mocha CFW - Rednand is still unstable from what i been reading, but can i play online/emulators?

So what is the safest and best way for me?

if you just want to play games, then probably the "Brazilian method" is good for you.

you seem to have a good background, something you wanna know is the "Brazilian method" works fine with no rednand nor haxchi, and it requires signature patching only for games that include DLC or VC (games you can only get from eshop)

with that being said, this will give you a signature patch on boot

then you can install any game with the "Brazilian method" and go online

After much consideration, im gonna go through with the whole guide except for rednand and cooldboot Haxchi.
These are from what i can understand, the easiest way to brick your console.
I wont cry if i brick, i'm getting the Wii Switch this year, but it would be alot of fun if all goes well.

You almost can't brick setting up cbhc and rednand.

i'm getting the Wii Switch this year, but it would be alot of fun if all goes well.

Correction: Nintendo Switch. Not Wii Switch or Wii U Switch, mind you. I want to make sure you are aware. Nintendo Switch doesn't support Wii U discs and 3DS cartridges at all ..... Wii or Wii U games, since the processor architecture is completely different.

So hey guys and girls, i followed the guide and performed step 1,2,3,6 and 7.
But on hacking Vwii side i encounter one problem, i want to use yetanotherbluedumpmod.
I have done everything, but it wont shop up the homebrew launcer in Vwii.
I want to have a backup, just in case anything goes wrong.
Better safe than sorry
Any suggestions on what to do

can you see other homebrew apps?

if yes, then probably it's there, but in another page, press (+) on your wiimote to move to the next set of homebrew apps while you are in the homebrew launcher.

If you still can't see it, then make sure it's added to your apps folder on SD card

I have tried several times now, i downloaded this zip https://github.com/darkmattercore/bluedump-mod.
I have been putting in the apps folder on the sd card, cios installer and hackmii installer shows, but not bluedumpmod =/

I don't know what you're downloading exactly from the repo, just to make it easier, this is a compiled uploaded version from the sticky thread

download this, unzip it, you will find a folder called "YetAnotherBlueDumpMod" inside the folder "apps"
copy it to your sd card "apps" folder

Hi again! I found another modified version of bluedumpmod.
It worked perfectly!
So now everything is up and running!
