I'm having a very frustrating issue with the USBLoaderGX.... I've gone through the guide, done everything step by step, reinstalled everything about 10 times now but for whatever reason I can never select the banner grid layout on the usbloadergx main screen. I always get this error message:

"Banner grid layout is only available with AHBPROT! Please consider installing a new HBC version"

All the other layouts work fine.

I am using system menu 4.3U and the latest versions of all the other software. Has anyone encountered an error like this and might know how I go about fixing it?

I run into same error today while trying to fix the Wii I purchased a while ago. It was softmodded by previous owner but he didn't include the SD card with it, so I rebuilt the contents of it from scratch.

I'm using the latest unofficial version by blackb0x and I have installed the channel forwarder from here.

UPDATE: I've tried reinstalling HBC via LetterBomb, thinking that might fix it, but I still get the same error. I have a RVL-101 model (blue Wii console) , if that changes anything?
Another thing I've noticed is that, once I select a game, Settings and Start buttons are invisible, but they are there since I can click on them. Only play count is visible.

UPDATE #2: I checked USB Loader GX's meta.xml file and it has the <ahb_access/> line in it, so it's not that either. I'll try reinstalling HBC one more time.

UPDATE #3: Reinstalling HBC didn't fix it, but reinstalling USB Loader GX surely did. ^^ All this time, I was replacing files on SD card only, but forgot to remove related config files on USB memory stick as well. I also reinstalled the channel as well, but I don't think that was necessary at all. Hope this helps someone in the future! Special thanks to people over at RiiConnect2's Discord server, I wouldn't figure it out without their help.
