Just some update: Mario Brothers 2 ended up being stuck at 7.5mb and then failed.

Okay, I'll copy everything to another memory card and try it again tomorrow when I charge some power back. The current one I'm using is a new Kingston 64gb.

Will also try the CIAngel method. I don't know what it is yet, but will search how to do it once i get my power adaptor.

Better use Freeshop, because it has a better gui than CiaAngel (no offense to the creator).
It will allow you to install games directly from the Nintendo's Servers, so hopefully, your problem shouldn't occur.

Is the SD formatted to fat32? (being exfat it wouldn't even boot, i'm just curious) set it to 32k cluster like the poster above said with a 3rd party formatter, NOT WINDOWS.

Hey guys, I'm just back to tell everyone that freeShop worked. Very impressive homebrew application. In essence, the solution was as Joom & mikemk mentioned, to download it through its server since the problem in my case was installing it through FBI. Somehow I was able to install it through freeShop.

What initially confused me was after I followed plailect's guide, I had a clue that FBI is used to install little homebrew application, so I had to figure out maybe it also installs games. When I tried installing games and received the error, I thought maybe I figured incorrectly. It's a case of not knowing what I don't know that was most confusing.

I can play many games now - enough to occupy myself for quite a long time. The only limitation is the inability to play games that's not in freeShop.

Thanks everyone for the help and time!

For debugging purposes (potentially help future Googlers), will you try downloading the cia directly using CDN-FX and installing with FBI? That'll tell whether it's the CIAs or FBI having issues.

Okay in that case, I should also write my error code to text for googlers to find since I haven't done so yet.

Failed to install CIA file
