Hacking AnyRegionChanger Question

I want to set my wii to japanese (area and sys. menu) to see if that makes the jap. nintendo channel connect to WiiConnect24.
I know this can cause a semi-brick, so please tell me if I got everything right before I do it:

I have to set language, area and system menu to japanese at the same time.

Right?

And when I do, can I go back to US?

I hope this works... I really want a demo on the japanese nintendo channel...

It should work. I downloaded a couple of apps for a japanese wii the tv browser and something random with miis. They both used the internet, so it should work. I deleted them both because they were in japanese and didn't really have a use. I have succefully returned to the us region. I'm going to eventually buy a japan only virtual console game.
