I didn't see anything in there that explained how the nose of a plane could impact a building and come through the other side in tact.

these commercial jets can travel in excess of about 600mph

Most commercial jets don't come anywhere near that speed. 600mph is nearly Mach 2.
 
No 600 mph is almost Mach 1. According to wikipedia, mach 1 is 768 mph. A later version of the 747 can go at speeds up to 85% of mach 1, or 567 mph. Source

I guess I can do some research on the resilience of aircraft grade aluminum. Also, aircraft are made to fail at key points of stress. Eg: wings, stabilizers, etc. The fuselage is made to be the most failure resistant/protected part of an aircraft. What stands to reason is that on impact, the fuselage would be the most likely thing to remain intact. It should only break apart after the wings laden with fuel explode.

about as bad as that one where the guy was wondering why the building went straight down instead of "falling over like it should have"
