Does anyone know if there a way to map the dpad instead of the analogue stick for movement?

There is a configuration file that can be edited on a pc but I have no idea what command it is for the dpad.

Also it would be great to know how to map keyboard space to button y on the 360 pad since all 4 face buttons are mapped to fire 1 I'm sure there will be a command....

Thanks

Amiga360 on Xbox 360 uses a PC-editable configuration file to remap the D-pad (hat0 in controller terms) for movement instead of the analog stick. Connect to your modded console via FTP, find the config file in the Amiga360 folder (likely named something like default.xfd or joypad.cfg), and edit it on a PC.
Swap the input assignments: change joystick axis (analog) to hat0_neg/hat0_pos for left/right and hat1_neg/hat1_pos for up/down, based on standard Amiga emulator formats.
Steps to Remap
FTP into Xbox 360 (use tools like FTPii or XeXMenu) and navigate to Content/0000000000000000/Amiga360 or similar.
Download the config file (check for .cfg, .xfd, or inputmap).
Edit lines like joyport0=hat0 or axis_0=hat0 to prioritize D-pad; test values like left=hat0left, right=hat0right.
Upload back, launch emulator, and verify in-game.
Tips: Save a backup before editing to avoid issues.

I tried replacing the axis values but it didn't work, thanks for helping anyway.

If anyone else is frustrated with this 'proof of concept/ experimental' Amiga360 emulator and wants a much better refined Amiga experience on the 360, look into Winuaex Lite for the original xbox. It's running A500/ A600 titles full speed on my 360 with all the controller customizations possible.

Emulator can be found on the Emuxtras website and it runs stable on Xefu2021a. I got the standalone emulator (as opposed to the full on package with over 2500 games) and configured about 40 or so games on it through trial and error. Most whdloads (in .whd format) are working but there are some exceptions for which ADFs have to be used.

Apparently the package on the downloads part of the site is pre-configured with most cd32 and a1200 games running at full speed on the original Xbox, but I couldn't get them to work on the 360, nor did I really spend much time testing them, but if you are interested then there may be a way on the 360 aswell if you are prepared to tinker with it.
