Well I recently hacked my o3ds xl and 2ds, just finishing off the the n3ds xl, found that the wii u can be hacked as well. so before I do just wanted to make sure of a few points having read the guide, have gone through the guide and prepared the "starter kit" ready to pop onto a sd card and into the wii u.

firstly if you're not doing the rednand/mocha what size sd card is recommended? also does it have to be a full size sd or can you use a micro sd + adaptor?

Nintendo says not to use usb flash/thumb drives long term, but is it ok to use one to test while I sort out a hard disk?

well looks like the the Brazilian method has been edited out, the disc2app says you need 25gb on your sd card, is there such a limit for the Brazilian method? I was reading it the other day but can't remember. I will be dumping my own disks as well(have 10+ wii u titles), but if I ever decide to d/l.

oh and before I forget, is it ok to transfer the files to another sd card in the future? and what files do you need around for future use? I assume disc2app and wupinstaller y mod, do you need haxhi and cbhc?

p.s. Canadian "my little pony" in coming to tell me to google it, but :P

Well typical, why was I expecting any replies?
You are in the UK right? It's 04:42 AM GMT, people are most likely asleep and not on this forum.
Just sit tight....

And yes, if you would have Google it, you would have most likely found this - https://github.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki
That is kind of ironic when you asked for Canadian My Little Pony so.... yeah

1- micro sd is fine
2- sure why not
3- download with wii u usb helper, don't even bother with ripping (it's time consuming and wears the drive)
4- the sd needs to be bigger than the game/s you want to install
5- you need to buy a ds game from th eshop to use haxchi or cbh, if don't have one yet just stick with the browser to start the homebrew launcher

It's kind of ironic if you read what I wrote it says I found the tutorial. I mentioned the "Canadian My little pony" as there is some Canadian user with the my little pony avatar who I've seen pops up in threads telling the OP to search/Google.
As for me being in the uk, does this mean that Americans etc who would be up now can't help?

Thanks for the reply, yes I realise you need to buy a DS VC game which I've not don't yet but will do when I come to hack the Wii u.

Those who are up are heading to sleep and with your demanding attitude aren't likely to help you.

So the whole wide world is heading to sleep simply because the Americans are? I did say etc, so saying "why was I expecting a reply" is being demanding? Ok...

And another thread dies on Gbatemp cause the OP's attitude. I was gonna reply in the morning with help but your bumping the thread after 2.5 hours (which is against the rules) and then getting pissed at "Americans"... nah

Pissed at Americans? first one user tells me I'm not getting a reply because I'm in the uk and those users will be asleep, so I replied with Americans etc will still be awake then another(this time happened to be an American) tells me the Americans will be going to sleep(there was plenty of time for them to reply between me creating this thread and the time this particular user replied). I'm sorry if I hurt your American pride by saying that the whole wide world exists and I wasn't just expecting a reply from Americans.

Oh and "mr mod" what's the time limit for bumping a thread then? If it offends you and other so much I can delete that post if it's possible to delete replies(guess you can't)
Oh and it's almost 3 hours between creating and bumping, where did you get 2 12 hours as 1.38 am and 4.34am are just 4 minutes shy of 3 hours.

Edit: oh which reminds me

Q: What's the fastest way to piss off Americans?

A: Remind them they're not the centre of the universe.
