bro, the wii cost about $350+ when converted from yen in japan. when it was released here it was $250 so thats about $100 less.

Tho isn't the yen much stronger now (versus the USD) than when the Wii was released?

My guesstimation: $249... and by that I also mean that it'll be 2499 swedish kronor (that being $365)..
See a pattern? 25,000 Yen, 2500 SEK, $250.... yeaaaah...

So therefore, if it was more than $300 in the US, it'd be 3000 sek, and I wouldn't pay that much, I'd wait or import or something)

and I would MAYBE get it IF a free game of choice was included!

My guess is that by March exchange rate will be something like 78 Yen:1 US dollar.

I also did some calculations when Wii was released in US. Wii was announced at the same price, 25,000 Yen. Using exchange rate from above however,

25,000 / 117.288 = $213.15 US dollars. Yet Nintendo of America charged $249.99 at launch. Something to think about. Let's not forget that Japanese price already included the necessary sales tax, US does not include sales tax in it.

It means that Nintendo of America is more likely to charge 3DS $270 for the least. $300 for base price is quite a possibility. In fact $350 is what I'm predicting now.

Getting a free game I probably don't want will not matter one iota.

I will be waiting to see if it has non game functions to even care about.

in opium's "nintendo announce 3ds launch details!, february 26 in japan, march worldwide" is announced that the cost are 25,000 yen ($us300). so we know already the prise of the handheld. but i suggest $150-$200 will be a lot better in prise.

Well, you forgot to take different currencies, demand of the product in different countries, the economy and one thousand other components that could effect the price.

It will definitely be in the $250-300 range. Even if it was up to $400, I would still get it.
