So I recently repleaced my broken 2DS Screen with a new one and after turning it on I've found the touch screen won't respond to anything, I've tried opening the calibration menu using L+R+X but even in the calibration menu I get no response whatsoever. This is the only part of the 2DS that isn't working properly.

The touch screen's cable is probably not correctly inserted into the connector, try reconnecting it and making sure it's inserted correctly. Be careful with the locking piece of the connector, it's easy to break it off.

I see, @IC_ was faster than me. Not correctly connected touch panel would be my first idea as well. The next would be damaged cable and/or connector.
I've even had a brand new touch panel not working right out of the box. No reaction, nothing, no matter what. Another touch screen solved the issue.

I've disconnected it and reconnected it multiple times and even used electrical tape to make sure it doesn't move around at all and it still does nothing.

Electrical tape?
Would you be able to show a picture of it without the tape covering it?

That definitely doesn't look right, it should look like the other connector visible on the right. Are you able to move the gray locking piece back onto the connector when the cable is not in there?
