Hacking Question 120€ switch (I'm a newbie, help)

Hi, first of all, I'm spanish, sorry for my bad english

A guy from my city is selling a switch for 120€, but he says it's bricked. I'm experienced on 3DS homebrew, but I'm a completely noob onto Switch Homebrew.

Guy's telling me he has the dongle SX Pro with the Switch on 9.0.0 or 9.0.1. He went to update It with choudijour and It got bricked in the middle of the update. Switch launches Nintendo logo and after that screen goes black. Is it worth it to buy It to repare and earn some money? Guy tells me that update bricked so many switches... Can anybody help me or tell me if I can fix it?

And which version do you recommend me to downgrade? And what to do later?

It states in that guide that you must manually downgrade to a firmware less than 6.2.0. (The app doesn't support 6.2.0+)
So you should downgrade to 6.1.0 or lower when following that guide.

Once you have it functioning again you should first make a full rawNand.bin and BOOT0/1 backup with Hekate so you can easily repair it if it ever bricks again.
It's fairly large, rawNand.bin will total to about 29.1GB, but it can be compressed to less than a gigabyte if it's empty (which it will be if you're recovering from this kind of brick).

Then you can try updating again with the latest SX OS (v2.9.2) which resolved these updating issues, by using ChoiDujourNX

Yes, if you can currently push payloads on that switch (which it sounds like it can) then the guide I linked can recover it to a usable state.

Honestly for 120€ I'd probably do it even though I don't need another unpatched switch.
Though I'm not sure how much bricked switches generally go for, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
