Man, sometimes burnout hits you hard. I feel like shit, kind of wishing I could go to sleep and not wake up for days, until somehow for reasons unknown I just feel better.

    Did you use Floppy Disk/Diskettes?

I guess you also used the horrible parallel-port based 100MB IOMEGA ZIP Drives. That stuff was so slow, yet somewhat practical, I remember a friend had one of those back around 1996 or 1997, all kind of stuff including SNES/Genesis ROMs came and went between us using those disks (actually I...

    Did you use Floppy Disk/Diskettes?

To be honest, talking about old C++... I believe there was nothing more convenient out there for a kid to learn C/C++ than the old Borland Turbo C IDEs. The way they packed IDE and documentation all together and get that shit working even on an old stinky 80286 was amazing, the most accessible...

Suggestion Limiting new users to 1 thread, then a cooldown timer. We also need more staff

Can't you create some kind of degraded lower responsibility class of moderator. Something like "Spam Flagger" or whatever, someone that has a "report" button on steroids. Users which have been granted this "power" could mark a given user (or thread) as spam. The user/thread will then be...

    Did you use Floppy Disk/Diskettes?

Those are the ones I used when I was a kid, 160KB single side disks (but to be honest they were more like 170KB when you formatted them in the C64). I also used them in my XT, but then they were 320KB double side. I also used them in my 286 later, the HD variant of 1.2MB, and I remember there...

Suggestion Limiting new users to 1 thread, then a cooldown timer. We also need more staff

They can make their one thread, and keep posting on it every 5 minutes. Then the next day they could even make another new thread. I don't see any problem. <grumpy old man> Also, if they can't wait one day then let them go... who cares about users that don't have any patience. </grumpy old man>

Suggestion Limiting new users to 1 thread, then a cooldown timer. We also need more staff

Why such a short cooldown? I think a 1 day cooldown per thread until say 10 threads have been posted by the new user would be very reasonable. Also a 5 minutes cooldown per post until 20 posts are posted (in general) would be a good idea perhaps.

ROM Hack [Translation] Labyrinth no Kanata (Beyond the Labyrinth)

That was a known problem back in the day. I really don't remember what you had to do to make it work, but probably you can find the answer deep inside this thread. It had something to do with some kind of incompatibility with either flashcards, or some specific cfw (can't remember). Anyway, I...

Gaming Petition to make March 8th Dragon Ball international Day

Well, I would say (because mostly everything else wouldn't exist without it) that Astroboy and the ouvre of Osamu Tezuka is more impactful than anything else. And in LatAm Sailor Moon was more impactful than Saint Seiya, closer to Dragon Ball in this aspect. I lived my LatAm life back then, I...

Gaming Petition to make March 8th Dragon Ball international Day

Erm... Ok? But what about the international day of Astroboy/Atom? And the international day of Captain Harlock? And if we should let authors "enjoy" their day before they die, Where is the international day of Saint Seiya? What about the international day of Sailor Moon? No international day of...

Yuzu emulator shutting down, paying Nintendo 2.4 million in lawsuit settlement

Well, I guess you all used your time wisely to clone that repo, you had plenty of time.

Yuzu emulator shutting down, paying Nintendo 2.4 million in lawsuit settlement

Oh man, I really messed up when choosing my profession. I should have been a suit or the owner of a multimillion dollars company. Who cares about laws when you can bend them with the power of money.

Should parents have the right to track their children?

I don't trust technology and companies in this regard, also I don't trust users to use the technology appropriately. This kind of "tracking" is too vulnerable, exploitable and it leads to very valid privacy/security concerns, with data potentially escaping the parents domain. I don't think it is...

I am certainly not a fan. The smell of antiseptic makes me think of needles.

    thread of phobias/fears

Needles. I guess it is not so uncommon. I can faint just by seeing a needle near a vein. Weird thing, if I don't see the needle even if I can feel it there it is way less of a problem.

Nintendo is suing the Yuzu emulator team

Nintendo has a reputation of having some kind of outstanding ninja lawyer team or something, but I don't see them getting their way with this one. Too flimsy.
