    None of what you are saying compares to the potential rented gamefly game, borrowed game, library game situation. They can't just console ban innocent people because of a cloned card. Nitntendo has to say something rather than keeping silent.

The whole purpose of them to use a legal way of playing games on the cheap so if people copy the games you'll be risking getting banned by Nintendo someone tell me how that is fair...

    Then innocent people are going to get banned. Someone buys a used game, rents a game via gamefly, or borrows a friends game and distributes the cert without their knowledge this card and dumper may have a big impact. It's not fair to ban innocent people.

    Which is one of the reasons I won't buy a used game or allow anyone borrow my games. I'm not risking ban. Though I am pretty confident Nintendo will be able to detect the cards in an update. All they have to do is have an update to scan the card and check if the card has multiple games.

    Are you sure about that? If a lot of people are online at the same time with same cert they'll all get console banned and as far as I know Nintendo doesn't care if you get console banned. They permanently banned no exceptions.

    Are certs even being banned right now? I mean a lot of them? If they were gamefly would have a huge issue as it stands. Aren't people getting banned for the very fact it's an installed game on CFW that they attempt to go online with? Can't they obviously tell that game is not suppose to be...

    You still need a few other files but I could see sharing sites that take other peoples games with or without their knowledge and start uploading certs. That by itself could create problems. How much I have no idea.

    Wonder if someone will ever find a way to generate unique game certificates I think it's unlikely cause of the encryption the certificates use. Plus Nintendo obviously know them all anyway I would assume. Anyone else's thoughts on that?

    My second thought Gamefly in theory could retain the cart so Nintendo can do ban waves because if Gamefly isn't renting the cart then obviously whoever copied it and is online gets console banned from Nintendo. But afterwards to rent that cart out again Nintendo would have to unban the game card...

    What if people who have mig switch dumper start dumping games they rent from gamefly? Wouldn't gamefly pretty much be forced to not offer switch rentals anymore? It's only a game cert ban right not a console ban?
